The treatment of cystic fibrosis requires equipment such as aerosols, and devices for postural drainage, oxygen therapy, non-invasive ventilation, etc.
To cater for all user needs, the Equipment Service ensures that the appropriate items are dispensed, in line with the most up-to-date scientific and technological standards.
The Service also plays a fundamental role in equipment management, including periodic checks and sterilisation procedures. In addition, it educates patients and family members on the management of instruments at home.


Main activities

  • Selection, maintenance and disinfection of instruments for aerosol therapy, physical therapy and rehabilitation, non-invasive ventilation, oxygen therapy, etc.
  • Telephone contacts and meetings with suppliers and reps
  • Study and testing of new equipment
  • Assisting the patient, to ensure that instruments are properly used and cared for
  • Device procurement and accounting
