Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia
Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia is a genetic disease, inherited mainly as an autosomal recessive condition. Characterised by recurrent infections of the upper and lower airways, in 40-50% of cases it is associated with situs inversus and other forms of heterotaxy.
The Verona CF Center, recognised as a Regional Reference Center within the framework of rare disease legislation (Veneto Region Resolution no. 204 of 8 February 2002), has a dedicated outpatient clinic offering out-of-hours care and telephone counselling.
