Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic, hereditary, autosomal recessive disease. The gene that causes the disease was first identified in 1989, and since then some 2000 different mutations have been discovered.

The Center

The Cystic Fibrosis Center in Verona is a multispecialty facility of the Veneto Region, set up in accordance with national legislation (Law 548/1993: regional management of cystic fibrosis).

Ongoing clinical trials 

Clinical research represents a fundamental condition in the activity and development of our Center.
There are many clinical trials currently underway on new drugs that could bring further innovations to the treatment of cystic fibrosis.

CF Clinical Research Center
